Weddings can be photographed anywhere in the world. We are based in Las Vegas, but often frequent Los Angeles and Hollywood, as well as California, Texas, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and the Midwest.
In Australia, we have a location in Melbourne, and photograph all across New South Wales and Victoria and the Australian coast.
Overseas, we often document weddings and engagements in Greece, Italy, France, Turkey, Russia, and the Ukraine.
Weddings can typically be broken down into four segments: getting ready, ceremony, formals, and reception.
This part of the wedding day focuses on the couple as individuals, with their attendants and families.
Brides are photographed with parents, grandparents, and bridesmaids / attendants as they prepare for the event, and more portraits are taken of the bride alone, showing the details of the dress, her jewelry, and bouquet, as well as some close up and full length photos of the bride in her wedding attire.
Grooms are also photographed with families and groomsmen / attendants, and additional time is spent on portraits of the groom alone, including details and a variety of poses.
The ceremony portion of the wedding day can be anywhere from ten minutes long to over an hour, depending on the preferences or religious beliefs of the couple. During this time, there is usually a procession, speeches by the officiant and a few readers, the exchange of vows, wedding rings, and the first kiss. The marriage certificate is signed as either a part of the ceremony or separately, and the happy couple is now officially married.
Formal portraits taken on a wedding day include the couple with each of their families, the entire wedding party together, and the couple alone.
Generally, some photos are taken at the ceremony venue, as well as at the reception site or another location chosen specifically for portraits.
Family photos from each side are taken in groups and breakdowns, and the same is done with the images of the wedding party. The bride and all the bridesmaids, groom and all the groomsmen, and the couple with flower girl and ring bearers are photographed, and then we spend time with the newly married couple.
The celebration often lasts a few hours, and encompasses cocktail hour, introductions, first dance, mother and son dance, father and daughter dance, toasts, blessings, cake cutting, and any number of other formalities.
Reception photojournalism captures the fun and exciting atmosphere of good party with photos of people dancing, laughing, and enjoying themselves. Casual group photos and dance floor snapshots feature guests celebrating with the newlyweds, and room overview and details photos highlight your wedding day decor.
Every wedding is photographed with the album in mind, and the last image is always a show-stopper.
